Washing a leotard is and remains exciting, because how do you keep the fabric nice? How do you make sure that all the stones are still neatly on it after washing? We have listed the maintenance instructions and a number of useful tips for washing gymnastics clothing on this page.
A leotard is of course often worn during a competition or training, during which sweat is produced and this perspiration can leave stains on certain fabrics. Also be careful with deodorant and hairspray. It is important that the leotards are washed in a proper manner to prevent this.
Maintenance instructions
– Do not wash gymnastics leotards by hand, even if it seems obvious, as this may damage the leotard and/or the stones.
– Did you receive your order? Always wash the leotard before use.
– Always wash gymnastics leotards, pants and other clothing after every training and/or competition, this prevents perspiration from leaving stains on the gymnastics clothing.
– Always wash a leotard and/or leotard inside out, separately from your other laundry at 30 degrees. You can wash up to 10 leotards (of the same color) at the same time on a delicate wash program. Do you want to be on the safe side? Then you can always wash a leotard in a laundry bag for protection, or even better, a pillowcase.
– Use detergent for delicates, silk and/or wool. Make sure there is no bleach in the detergent and do not use too much detergent.
– Do not use fabric softener.
– You can spin a leotard on the highest setting (at least 1000 revolutions per minute). When the washing program is finished, it is important that you immediately remove the leotards from the washing machine and hang them to dry on a hanger.
Sparkle & Dream cannot unfortunately offer a guarantee if the clothing has not been treated according to the above instructions.
